Giving Tuesday!

Did you know our scouting competition, Rock River Regatta, is hosted by the Midwest Scouting Coalition Ltd?

My guess is you are not. Rock River Regatta is not put on by an active unit of BSA or GSUSA, or any council. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is trying to provide an activity to keep youth active and interested in scouting. One of our goals is to provide cross-over information for units and scouts to attend activities that foster collaboration from all scouting backgrounds.

As time goes on, we hope to be able to help units improve their competition skills, provide more BSA and GSUSA crossover activities, and to help create a place where units of all types can talk about what they have done and are planning to do in the future.

Our event Rock River Regatta is not meant to generate a profit. As time goes on, any funding we accumulate will be set aside in hopes to generate a scholarship that all scouts could apply for. More details about that will come as we start seeing funds that go above the operating costs of hosting Rock River Regatta.

There are 4 ways you can help support us!

  • First, spread the word about Scouts, and scouting competitions like RRR, Snowstorm, WAM, and Bay Jammer.
  • Second, if you host an event where other units can join in the fun. Let us know! We’d love to hear about more activities out there.
  • Three, if you tend an event or activity.  Tell us about it! The more we are able to share with the scouting community, the more we all can learn together.
  • Lastly, you can give us a donation.  One of the easiest ways to do this is to set shop with Amazon and use, while setting us to your charitable organization.

Thank you all and Happy Scouting!
